The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Zeledon Maraman the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Yucatan F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Zeledon Maraman had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Yucatan F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of gipsy kings:s goal. In the 9th minute there was a penalty for gipsy kings. Gabriel Périn stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hector Chap. 0-2. After 11 played minutes Yucatan F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Hector Sesuldo. Luc Cassagne's late challenge caught a Yucatan F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luc Cassagne helped the player get up and apologised. Hector Chap showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrice Gamet, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabrice Gamet in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hector Chap prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hector Chap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrice Gamet in the 30th minute of play. Yucatan F.C.'s Hector Chap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrice Gamet in the 46th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabrice Gamet in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hector Chap prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half gipsy kings were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomás Calvino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Yucatan F.C.'s Hector Chap got control of the ball when Fabrice Gamet tried to sneak it across the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Yucatan F.C.'s goalkeeper Hector Chap had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabrice Gamet. A hard shot by Yannick Joachim from long distance, 66 minutes into the match, got Hector Chap's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Yannick Joachim struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Hector Chap didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for gipsy kings. Hector Chap made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Fabrice Gamet sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrice Gamet in the 74th minute of play forced Yucatan F.C.'s goalkeeper Hector Chap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomás Calvino kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Tomás Calvino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jean-Pascal Weiss was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 83rd minute, Basilio Gabirel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Fabrice Gamet kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hector Chap. That made the score 1-4 in the 84 minute of play. Tomás Calvino's late challenge caught a gipsy kings's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomás Calvino helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet as gipsy kings's Fabrice Gamet slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hector Chap. That made the score 1-5 after 90 minutes of play. In the 94th minute, one of Yucatan F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Yucatan F.C.. The referee gave gipsy kings a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gabriel Périn, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Yucatan F.C.'s Hector Chap. 1-6. When the match was over gipsy kings could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Yucatan F.C. throughout the match.
