An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrice Gamet in the 21st minute of play forced Doğanyurt FK's goalkeeper Ercüment İspinoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Doğanyurt FK's goal looked a bit too open when Amaury Leone came free, but Ercüment İspinoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Walter Jardel fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored gipsy kings's protests and gave Walter Jardel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Walter Jardel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, Mehmet Hakkı Umut had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jean-Pascal Weiss. gipsy kings's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mehmet Hakkı Umut was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Zekai Doğanay hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Amaury Leone took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ercüment İspinoz. Doğanyurt FK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the Doğanyurt FK defense, Grégoire Lamouroux kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ercüment İspinoz. The Doğanyurt FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ercüment İspinoz should have stopped the shot. If Amaury Leone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Rüstem Yürük hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabrice Gamet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ercüment İspinoz having to interfere.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rüstem Yürük made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Zekai Doğanay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Amaury Leone managed to get in a good position for a shot. gipsy kings's supporters rose to their feet, but Amaury Leone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ercüment İspinoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jean-Pascal Weiss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rüstem Yürük, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the game, Doğanyurt FK's Rüstem Yürük nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jean-Pascal Weiss made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After a rather tough play, Doğanyurt FK's Güralp Necdet got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 67 played minutes, gipsy kings's Amaury Leone shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ercüment İspinoz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in gipsy kings reached it. Jean-Pascal Weiss didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Recep Talha Ozansu went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. With 75 minutes on the clock, Güralp Necdet commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A hard shot by Amaury Leone from long distance, 76 minutes into the match, got Ercüment İspinoz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebati Kurtuluş in the 79th minute of play forced gipsy kings's goalkeeper Jean-Pascal Weiss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mehmet Hakkı Umut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jean-Pascal Weiss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zekai Doğanay, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Fabrice Gamet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ercüment İspinoz having to interfere. Grégoire Lamouroux blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ercüment İspinoz having to make a save. When Arif Egemen Malgır fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Doğanyurt FK's protests and gave Arif Egemen Malgır a yellow card for diving instead. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Doğanyurt FK! The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
