In the 36thth minute of the game Remigiusz Pieknik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner led Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt to fire away a dangerous shot which Méndez Marfa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kees Mooiweer hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When Remigiusz Pieknik came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Lealtad Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remigiusz Pieknik couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Remigiusz Pieknik made a kick off. David Eikelkamp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Méndez Marfa having to interfere. Xesus Espoa kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 61st minute, but Méndez Marfa got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Lealtad Futbol Club hanging dry this time. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Lealtad Futbol Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to fire away a dangerous shot which Méndez Marfa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcellus Spencer in the 80th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Méndez Marfa in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Weather Diz hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Méndez Marfa made a huge save. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Méndez Marfa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Lealtad Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Xalvador Galiana. After 95 played minutes Lealtad Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Xesus Espoa. Despite being the better team, Netherlands failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
