Leonhard Maier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Péter Nemes having to make a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Árpád Dudás was the one to do the kick off. Péter Nemes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonas Nalder went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Schneider in the 68th minute of play forced Héreg SC's goalkeeper Péter Nemes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored Héreg SC's protests and gave Sebestyén Bártfai a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes Héreg SC got a freekick which was hit by Sebestyén Bártfai. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Fabio Auer successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sandro Galishoff struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Péter Nemes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Austria.
