Rodolfo Miranda got a throw-in 12 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Caetano Moreira. 16 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Abreu. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Santiago Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celestiales's supporters rose to their feet, but Santiago Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
