The corner ended in Sigfrido Auletta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Deportivo Medievales's Zhao Ran Ming did a great save. Zhao Ran Ming made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta in the 32nd minute of play. Zhao Ran Ming showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute Jeremias Mark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Italy booed when Deportivo Medievales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Sazon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Zhao Ran Ming didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 59th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. 62 minutes into the match, Deportivo Medievales's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Zhao Ran Ming reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
