Takacs Tibor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Takis Koutsos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. With a little luck, Hungary's Fodor Daniel got control of the ball when Reinaldo Trancoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doru Lițu in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doru Lițu in the 57th minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Hungary booed when The Beatles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusébio Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball.
