Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Barnaba Pilsudski started the match with the kick off. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barnaba Pilsudski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wim Wilmes might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Axell Verduin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wim Wilmes ran back to his position shaking his head. Axell Verduin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axell Verduin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Kees Mooiweer in the 21st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Gullegem's Mats Vanooteghem. After 32 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Kees Mooiweer. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Gullegem made a substitution. Waut Du Molin replaced Emanuel De Roest. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

FC Gullegem's Axell Verduin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 50th minute of the match, managed to save FC Gullegem from getting a goal against them. In the 59th minute, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Axell Verduin. Axell Verduin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barnaba Pilsudski in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. After 66 minutes, Barnaba Pilsudski made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Kees Mooiweer in the 68th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Gullegem's Matty Bormans. In the 69th minute, Matty Bormans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barnaba Pilsudski in the 73rd minute of play. Axell Verduin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 79th minute of play. Matty Bormans hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. FC Gullegem's Jonathan Vrijdag was substituted for Joe Vandamme. The supporters of Netherlands booed when FC Gullegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matty Bormans didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of FC Gullegem's Axell Verduin. Axell Verduin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a great ball. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
