In the 9th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Mikaelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Felix Lööf managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frösö IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Lööf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richard Mikaelsson having to make a save. Chris Mergenthaler kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Benedykt Przybylo hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Richard Mikaelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Mikaelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Cauteruccio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. After 43 minutes, Michel Håkansson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Frösö IF and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Frösö IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Håkansson to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Simon Lidman could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Tommy Kahn however easily saved by the left post. In the 46th minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Germany booed when Frösö IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Åke Beckeman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Frösö IF's Michel Håkansson got a free kick in the 59th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Lidman in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Cauteruccio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Albin Holweck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Martin Cauteruccio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Cauteruccio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a little luck, Frösö IF's Richard Mikaelsson got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martin Cauteruccio took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Lidman in the 95th minute of play. There was no doubt that Frösö IF were the better team. Frösö IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
