After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Egbert Nijveldt got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 3rd minute of the match Matty Cash sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnout Reekers skillfully saved the ball. In the 15th minute Gerson Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Fc-Criuleni-City's Joseph Stähelin got a free kick in the 16th minute. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerson Simões in the 18th minute of the match. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Matty Cash was slow to take the kick. During this time Fc-Criuleni-City's players had a chance to rest. After some careless play in the Fc-Criuleni-City defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zydrunas Karcemarskas. The Fc-Criuleni-City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zydrunas Karcemarskas should have stopped the shot. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxim Scobioalã, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Bengt Lundberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerson Simões in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Zydrunas Karcemarskas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Gerson Simões came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerson Simões made a kick off. Gerson Simões could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bengt Lundberg went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. David Eikelkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerson Simões. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Wim Wilmes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zydrunas Karcemarskas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zydrunas Karcemarskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Fc-Criuleni-City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zydrunas Karcemarskas saved Fc-Criuleni-City from getting behind. In the 78th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zydrunas Karcemarskas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zydrunas Karcemarskas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Meesters, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Pavel Cheptene scored 1-2 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
