Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 11 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Menendo came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michal Niewiadomski made in the 12th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Raşit Ahsen. After 14 minutes of play, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harun Umur was left in no man's land by his defense there! Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Menendo in the 16th minute of the match. Siebe Michiels made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Trabzonspor's Veli Şahinkan. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Harun Umur in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 46 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Harun Umur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. Belgium's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 49th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Freddy Menendo made a kick off. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Menendo in the 53rd minute of play. Trabzonspor's Harun Umur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 54th minute of play. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Harun Umur. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 58th minute of play forced Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Harun Umur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Harun Umur, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edward Vanderstraeten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harun Umur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 80th minute of the match. Edward Vanderstraeten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 85th minute of play forced Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Harun Umur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 88 minutes, Freddy Menendo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trabzonspor and the Belgium players grew even worse after the yellow card. Harun Umur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Yves Dervaux ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Harun Umur was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Trabzonspor's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
