Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Abdulla Baia made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, FC Ouagadougou National's goal looked a bit too open when Porziano Marchitelli came free, but Rene Vereijt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdulla Baia, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Abdulla Baia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Flavio Vittori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siricio Liotta in the 23rd minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Rene Vereijt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Abdulla Baia came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the FC Ouagadougou National fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdulla Baia couldn't finish the play. Abdulla Baia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdulla Baia got free with Flavio Vittori in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Italy's zone, Dani Rojas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Vittori came out of the goal and Dani Rojas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rene Vereijt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siricio Liotta in the 40th minute of play. After 41 minutes, Riemer Ax mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Ouagadougou National and the Italy players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 42 played minutes FC Ouagadougou National got a freekick which was hit by Riemer Ax. FC Ouagadougou National's Rene Vereijt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th minute, Dani Rojas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Flavio Vittori. The goal made the score 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zaccheo Andolina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Abdulla Baia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Riemer Ax made in the 58th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gustavo Arrelucea immediately put the ball in play. Zaccheo Andolina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Rene Vereijt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rene Vereijt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sostene Vitulli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 75th minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Rene Vereijt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdulla Baia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rene Vereijt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 85 minutes into the game, Abdulla Baia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Flavio Vittori was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adriano Curto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rene Vereijt firmly grabbed it by the left post. Adriano Curto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Vereijt having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
