Mauricio Erramun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. With a little luck, Italy's Flavio Vittori got control of the ball when Pipo Benedetto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 13th minute, Siricio Liotta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. When Pipo Benedetto came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Stat Veritas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pipo Benedetto couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Stat Veritas FC booed when Italy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gianpaolo Mascari didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Pipo Benedetto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Flavio Vittori was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Stat Veritas FC's Charles-Antoine Dartiguelongue got a free kick in the 46th minute.
