Apolo Chica made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Matxin Maliaño got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Apolo Chica stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Major Barna's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Alex Pedrera got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Apolo Chica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, La Vieja Guardia Jrs's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Apolo Chica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matxin Maliaño. The Hungary fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Hungary's Major Barna looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 34 minutes, Guillerme Escarraz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Vieja Guardia Jrs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillerme Escarraz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Apolo Chica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After the first half Hungary were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antal Valentin to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boros Benedek to maneuver through the defense. Matxin Maliaño scored 1-3 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fodor Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joshua Kimmich's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joshua Kimmich helped the player get up and apologised. After 54 played minutes La Vieja Guardia Jrs got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Kimmich. After having played for 56 minutes, Balazs Lajos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Balazs Lajos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Balazs Lajos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. La Vieja Guardia Jrs made a substitution. Calisto Requena replaced Froilan Romillo. Vörös Henrik hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Chica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Apolo Chica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Takacs Tibor, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. With a little luck, La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Apolo Chica got control of the ball when Major Barna tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Hungary booed when La Vieja Guardia Jrs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillelme Veraza didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Balazs Lajos got free with Apolo Chica in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antal Valentin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Apolo Chica firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 88th match minute, La Vieja Guardia Jrs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Pedrera to maneuver through the defense. If Matxin Maliaño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
