Mané Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by 20 de Abril's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. After taking down the ball on Hungary's corner Hegedus Henrik fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mané Netto quite easily take care of the ball. In the 31st minute of the match Hungary got a corner. 20 de Abril's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. In the 38th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frans De Jong's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frans De Jong helped the player get up and apologised. Frans De Jong hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

In the 55thth minute of the game Valdo Toscano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson Barral in the 56th minute of play. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Mané Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 de Abril's Guilherme Corrêa was substituted for Váldson Barral. After 93 played minutes, Hungary's Antal Valentin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mané Netto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hungary reached it. If Guilherme Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hungary were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing 20 de Abril to leave the ground with a draw.
