Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Hungary's Antal Valentin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dimitar Vetzov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 4th minute of play. In the 7th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitar Vetzov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dimitar Vetzov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Takacs Tibor in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Venko Petrov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dimitar Vetzov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 15th minute of the match. Dimitar Vetzov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Balazs Lajos's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Dimitar Vetzov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Bansko's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Hungary's corner Antal Valentin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dimitar Vetzov quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 29th minute of play forced FC Bansko's goalkeeper Dimitar Vetzov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st match minute, FC Bansko was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Slavcho Peychinov to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Venko Petrov got free with Fodor Daniel in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Bansko's Dimitar Vetzov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 35th minute of play. Venko Petrov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Fodor Daniel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hegedus Henrik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitar Vetzov having to interfere. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Bansko's goalkeeper Dimitar Vetzov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 45 minutes into the game, Vaklin Dobrinski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Bansko's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hungary the free kick. A collision led to FC Bansko getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Vaklin Dobrinski hit a great ball. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 53rd minute Takacs Tibor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitar Vetzov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Hungary's zone, Allan Magnusson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal and Allan Magnusson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Venko Petrov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Bansko made a substitution. Kuncho Glavchev replaced Venko Petrov. FC Bansko's Gencho Mangezov was substituted for Ivan Toromanov. In the 70th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antal Valentin to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 71 minutes, Kuncho Glavchev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Bansko's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kuncho Glavchev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dimitar Vetzov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 73rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Balazs Lajos got free with Dimitar Vetzov in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Hegedus Henrik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
