In the 46th minute, Levi von Herren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute Per Finman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hias Nüssli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Samuele Kunz made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Oskars Glada Gäng's Per Finman got a free kick in the 87th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Switzerland fully deserved thier win.
