Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicky Bryson went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After 28 minutes C. A. Pipon Pipon's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Jannes Ruttens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 33rd minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 43 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicky Bryson. After 44 played minutes C. A. Pipon Pipon got a freekick which was hit by Al Whatley. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jannes Ruttens. C. A. Pipon Pipon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustaaf Groeneveldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Cesario Irazu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 54 minutes into the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon's goalkeeper Jannes Ruttens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer. C. A. In the 65thth minute of the game Beto Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicky Bryson, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Jannes Ruttens successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beto Montenegro in the 72nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon's goalkeeper Jannes Ruttens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Nicky Bryson scored 3-2 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 83 minutes into the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Jannes Ruttens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Malcolm McIntosh had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Malcolm McIntosh was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Jannes Ruttens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 88th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Mathijn Doctor got a free kick in the 89th minute. The supporters of C. A. Pipon Pipon booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egbert Nijveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a precise shot to the right of Jannes Ruttens. C. A. Pipon Pipon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the Netherlands players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C. A. Pipon Pipon.
