Patrik De Roost made in the 2nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Patrik De Roost made in the 4th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Adrián-Daniel Dobre however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihăiţă Stolniceanu in the 5th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute of the match, Adrián-Daniel Dobre got a very nice opportunity to score, but Flavio Vittori was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Lyle Coppack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 10th minute of play. Adrián-Daniel Dobre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. With a little luck, Italy's Flavio Vittori got control of the ball when Eusebiu Ipătescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mihăiţă Stolniceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Eusebiu Ipătescu managed to work through Italy's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Eusebiu Ipătescu dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Lyle Coppack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 34th minute of the match. When Italy's Zaccheo Andolina in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goalie prevented a goal. In the 47th minute, Zaccheo Andolina made a precise shot to the right of Lyle Coppack. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eusebiu Ipătescu was the one to do the kick off. Adrián-Daniel Dobre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zaccheo Andolina struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Lyle Coppack didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Lyle Coppack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigfrido Auletta in the 62nd minute of play. Lyle Coppack stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zaccheo Andolina's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Italy's Siricio Liotta quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Patrik De Roost, made in the 65th minute of the game. 66 minutes into the match, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goalkeeper Lyle Coppack had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zaccheo Andolina. Lyle Coppack was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Zaccheo Andolina capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zaccheo Andolina really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Mei in the 78th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goal looked a bit too open when Siricio Liotta came free, but Lyle Coppack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. After 92 minutes Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Siricio Liotta who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Eliseo Cutri heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The crowd rose to their feet as Italy's Adriano Curto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lyle Coppack. That made the score 1-3 after 95 minutes of play. The Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Italy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
