The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbigniew Barowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Manantiales Fc booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 6th minute of play forced Manantiales Fc's goalkeeper Zbigniew Barowicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathijn Doctor to maneuver through the defense. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Federico Hanni went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Zbigniew Barowicz made a huge save. Zbigniew Barowicz made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when David Eikelkamp sent off a good shot on target. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Cresencio in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Ulises Pasqual hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manantiales Fc's Zbigniew Barowicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Manantiales Fc from getting a goal against them. 34 minutes into the match, Manantiales Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Zbigniew Barowicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesus Orlo kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Manantiales Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustaaf Groeneveldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Manantiales Fc's attentive Aurelio Aragones managed to snatch the ball when Gust Ennemans made a throw-in in the 64th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Mathijn Doctor got a free kick in the 65th minute. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Federico Hanni tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Federico Hanni got free with Arnout Reekers in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zbigniew Barowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. If Lars Meesters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Manantiales Fc made a substitution. Epifanio Bernaldo replaced Isidro Cresencio. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Epifanio Bernaldo sent off a good shot on target. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zbigniew Barowicz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Manantiales Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Zbigniew Barowicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
