The supporters of Spain booed when A4p FC Gad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Martxel didn't get a good kick on the ball. James Batistuta did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Gabriel Ascaso 10 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Toledo in the 22nd minute of play forced A4p FC Gad's goalkeeper Glenn Fyfe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Amador Martxel came free, but Gabriel Ascaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Ascaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from King Scorpio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Glenn Fyfe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Merino in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute, James Batistuta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Löfgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Gabriel Ascaso made a huge save. Gez Mason charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gez Mason the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to A4p FC Gad getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Gez Mason hit a great ball. Adria Bielsa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Glenn Fyfe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute of the match Marcin Pachucki shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gabriel Ascaso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Omar Toledo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Glenn Fyfe was a little too slow when Vicente Merino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 1-1. Glenn Fyfe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Aranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The corner ended in Jon Cubero almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but A4p FC Gad's Glenn Fyfe did a great save. Daniel Löfgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Spain made a substitution. Sergio Ruiz replaced Adria Bielsa. Spain's Pau Herrero was substituted for David Aranda. A4p FC Gad made a substitution. Flavius Cândroveanu replaced Daniel Löfgren. A4p FC Gad's Erasmo Damião was substituted for Amador Martxel. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rd minute A4p FC Gad were awarded a corner. Marcin Pachucki went to the cornerflag to take it. Erasmo Damião was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Despite being the better team, Spain failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
