Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sandro Galishoff got the match started through his kick off. Leonhard Maier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 5 minutes into the game, Olimpiu Florean was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poli Iași's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Austria the free kick. The supporters of Austria booed when Poli Iași was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olimpiu Florean didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabio Schneider fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicu Timofte having to interfere. After 18 played minutes Poli Iași got a freekick which was hit by Horaţiu Buciuman. Austria's Fabio Schneider got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabio Schneider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Horaţiu Buciuman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Austria's Fabio Auer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remus Nuțu in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Sergiu Gherguț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th match minute, Austria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Schneider to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabio Schneider during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remus Nuțu to make the kick off. Remus Nuțu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Fabio Auer skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remus Nuțu in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Auer saved Austria from getting behind. Fabio Auer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remus Nuțu in the 60th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remus Nuțu got free with Fabio Auer in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Poli Iași's Nicu Timofte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Schneider in the 71st minute of play. When Austria's Sandro Galishoff in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 88th minute, Julian Habeler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Austria reached it. Poli Iași's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
