Iwan Grocholski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siebe Michiels in the 13th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Alberto Zañartu got free with Casper Claes in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yves Dervaux kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Alberto Zañartu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Iwan Grocholski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. La Academia's Aaron Mazuste was substituted for Lalo Salamanca. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Alberto Zañartu in the 75th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, La Academia's Gong Peng Bo got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Iwan Grocholski. The goal made the score 1-3. After having played for 86 minutes, Yves Dervaux managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgium's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yves Dervaux was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iwan Grocholski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 88th minute. In the 95th match minute, La Academia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saul Goodman to maneuver through the defense. Edward Vanderstraeten struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Iwan Grocholski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgium. The Belgium supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Belgium would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
