Ruben Sánchez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 4th minute of the match. The supporters of Magic is Back booed when Italy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zena Busacca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Medero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Magic is Back's zone, Zaccheo Andolina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruben Sánchez came out of the goal and Zaccheo Andolina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Magic is Back's Ruben Sánchez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 13th minute of play. Sigfrido Auletta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ruben Sánchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valentin Barco kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Ruben Sánchez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Porziano Marchitelli in the 19th minute. With his leg Ruben Sánchez managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Italy's Zaccheo Andolina fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Zaccheo Andolina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Ruben Sánchez made a huge save. Siricio Liotta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ruben Sánchez having to make a save. 38 minutes into the game, Zaccheo Andolina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ruben Sánchez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd match minute, Italy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gianpaolo Mascari to maneuver through the defense. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Palermo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Magic is Back's goalkeeper Ruben Sánchez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sigfrido Auletta.

Sebastián Battaglia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. After 75 played minutes Magic is Back got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Barco. Roland Schiavi's late challenge caught a Italy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roland Schiavi helped the player get up and apologised. After 77 played minutes Magic is Back got a freekick which was hit by Roland Schiavi. Italy's Flavio Vittori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Italy from getting a goal against them. In the 81st minute, Gabi Batistuta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. Italy's Adriano Curto was substituted for Zaccheo Andolina. Flavio Vittori made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Gabi Batistuta sent off a good shot on target. 88 minutes into the match, Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabi Batistuta. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Italy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sebastián Battaglia was slow to take the kick. During this time Magic is Back's players had a chance to rest. Sebastián Battaglia made a great header on Magic is Back's corner, it was just that Italy's Flavio Vittori managed to reach the ball for a save. Ruben Sánchez came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Italy's Adriano Curto. But to his dismay, Adriano Curto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. A collision led to Magic is Back getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Walter Samuel hit a great ball.
