Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edward Vanderstraeten in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nestor Romero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes into the match, Werderaner 04 Volkssport's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Nestor Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edward Vanderstraeten made a kick off. Giuseppe Marotzke kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After having played for 57 minutes, Edward Vanderstraeten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgium's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edward Vanderstraeten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th minute, Steven Grund made a precise shot to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After a rather tough play, Werderaner 04 Volkssport's Steven Grund got a free kick in the 68th minute. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eckart Obels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
