With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nestor Romero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nestor Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Portugal were awarded a corner. Felipe Barreto went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Portugal's Graciano Coutinho getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 22nd match minute, Werderaner 04 Volkssport was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giuseppe Marotzke to maneuver through the defense. Nestor Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Wilson Amorim. With 39 minutes on the clock, Giuseppe Marotzke commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Werderaner 04 Volkssport:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Portugal:s goal. The referee gave Portugal a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Felipe Barreto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Werderaner 04 Volkssport's Nestor Romero. 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 60th minute of play forced Werderaner 04 Volkssport's goalkeeper Nestor Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Faustino Almeida in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Werderaner 04 Volkssport's Jonas Küttner. In the 65th minute, Viriato Moura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. In the 68th minute, Caetano Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. In the 70th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Moreira to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Keith Harms stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Keith Harms tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Bartolomeu Dias took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Nestor Romero to make any attempt to save it. In the 82ndth minute of the game Wladimir Jungwirth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benno Schellhase went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-5 was the resulting score. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wladimir Jungwirth, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eckart Obels in the 92nd minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Werderaner 04 Volkssport's Eckart Obels. But to his dismay, Eckart Obels quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-5. Portugal's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
