Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Antal Valentin got the match started through his kick off. Hungary's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Johannes Botvidsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very good chance. Zafer Hürsel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 10th minute of the match. FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's Zafer Hürsel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Balazs Lajos in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's goal looked a bit too open when Takacs Tibor came free, but Zafer Hürsel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Major Barna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 22 minutes into the match, FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Zafer Hürsel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Major Barna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zafer Hürsel having to make a save. After having played for 23 minutes, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Major Barna in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zafer Hürsel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 29 minutes into the game, Herbert Björnberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hungary the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of FC Zenit Saint Petersburg:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hungary:s goal. Zafer Hürsel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 32nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's Peter Snell got a free kick in the 35th minute. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Emander in the 38th minute of play. FC Zenit Saint Petersburg were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Hungary's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Johannes Botvidsson took the corner. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aron Sjöberg during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Håkan Kjellman, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 64 minutes of play, FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's Håkan Kjellman made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fodor Daniel was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Hungary players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
