When Paulo Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the SANTOS F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Cruz couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the match, Manfredo Bueno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexander Higgins. Scotland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manfredo Bueno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. Alexander Higgins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Douglas Basso in the 65th minute. After some careless play in the Scotland defense, Douglas Basso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexander Higgins. The Scotland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexander Higgins should have stopped the shot. After 70 minutes, Manfredo Bueno made it 0-11 with a short kick to the right side. Alexander Higgins was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 80th minute, Manfredo Bueno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Paulo Cruz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Alexander Higgins skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alexander Higgins made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Manfredo Bueno sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to SANTOS F.C getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Durvalino Guerra hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded SANTOS F.C left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Scotland.
