Cambaratiba's Stanislaw Lichucki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Cambaratiba's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Stanislaw Lichucki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tasos Fasoulas, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Cássio Vaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dudu Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tasos Fasoulas. Cambaratiba's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dudu Velasco in the 38th minute. A nice corner shot did that Dudu Velasco got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wilson Amorim quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 42nd minute Tasos Fasoulas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tasos Fasoulas took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Stanislaw Lichucki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

Cambaratiba's Yuri Zanette was substituted for Claudinei Camargo. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viriato Moura made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viriato Moura in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stanislaw Lichucki saved Cambaratiba from getting behind. Cambaratiba were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Portugal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dudu Velasco took the corner. The corner led to Cambaratiba's Belmiro Motta getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Viriato Moura succeeded in the game's 66th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. If Viriato Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. Stanislaw Lichucki was a little too slow when Bartolomeu Dias got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 1-2. Cássio Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabiano Mota during the 84th minute.
