After having played for 28 minutes, Adria Bielsa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adria Bielsa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Omar Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Parker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adria Bielsa, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Project Nemesis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carles Cherro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. When Carles Cherro came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Spain fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carles Cherro couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute Carles Cherro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Parker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Spain fully deserved thier win.
