An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 5th minute of play forced Friesenwerdermoor's goalkeeper Prospero Goethe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 6 minutes, Jamal Roye managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Friesenwerdermoor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jamal Roye was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Goethe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerhard Neoral hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. David Eikelkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Mathijn Doctor hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Echterhoff in the 16th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Gerster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prospero Goethe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Friesenwerdermoor's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to fire away a dangerous shot which Prospero Goethe despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermann Luscher in the 22nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Friesenwerdermoor's Artur Schade got a free kick in the 27th minute. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Prospero Goethe. Prospero Goethe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 39th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Friesenwerdermoor's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lars Meesters was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 42 minutes into the game, Lennard Rossmanith cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Friesenwerdermoor's Herbert Flöge got a free kick in the 46th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 47th minute of play forced Friesenwerdermoor's goalkeeper Prospero Goethe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 48th minute. After 49 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by David Eikelkamp.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gustaaf Groeneveldt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Prospero Goethe when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Prospero Goethe threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tom Gerster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Prospero Goethe in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 67 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Prospero Goethe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Friesenwerdermoor's Pekin Energin was substituted for Lennard Rossmanith. 74 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Jamal Roye came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Netherlands fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Netherlands's Wim Wilmes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 84 minutes into the match, Friesenwerdermoor's goalkeeper Prospero Goethe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. 87 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Jamal Roye came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
