The crowd rose to their feet as Aymerick Nadal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gabriel Ascaso. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Güray Orcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Aranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francesc Tamari could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Gabriel Ascaso made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francesc Tamari got free with Gabriel Ascaso in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 37 minutes into the match, Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francesc Tamari. Güray Orcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Aranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Toledo to make the kick off. Omar Toledo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Güray Orcan made a huge save. In the 59th minute Adria Bielsa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Güray Orcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, David Aranda reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Güray Orcan. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 94th minute, Jonas Hautot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Many of Spain's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Spain may have spent more time on the ball, but La mano de D10S were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
