Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Antal Valentin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SS Palestra Italia's Emil Caspersson did a great save. 14 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Henrik Mossberg came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emílio van Rijswijk was extremely unlucky when he, in the 19th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 22nd minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Caspersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emil Caspersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Hungary's Antal Valentin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emil Caspersson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Duarte Abreu made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, Antal Valentin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Emil Caspersson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Emil Caspersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peder Rang in the 57th minute of the match. After 58 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Balazs Lajos. 64 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Emílio van Rijswijk came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emil Caspersson made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Major Barna sent off a good shot on target. 75 minutes into the match, SS Palestra Italia's goalkeeper Emil Caspersson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. In the 77th match minute, SS Palestra Italia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddie Salqvist to maneuver through the defense. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Caspersson having to interfere. SS Palestra Italia's Adrian Bryngelsson was substituted for Emílio van Rijswijk. Emil Caspersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. When the final whistle sounded Hungary left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SS Palestra Italia.
