Luis Rius started the match with the kick off. Adam Olaru struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Oso Prato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romania. Carol Stinga made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Luis Rius sent off a good shot on target. 14 minutes into the game, Paata Gagnidze was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Romania the free kick. In the 14th match minute, ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paata Gagnidze to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Romania's goalkeeper Carol Stinga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Rius. After 18 played minutes ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ got a freekick which was hit by Dobromir Bentkowski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Rius in the 20th minute of play forced Romania's goalkeeper Carol Stinga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Alex Serban managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Romania's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Serban was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oso Prato didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Costica Vladimiri went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The throw-in from Cosmin Barbulescu in the 38th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's Rodolfo Jenaro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Olaru in the 40th minute of play forced ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's goalkeeper Oso Prato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute Costica Vladimiri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oso Prato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costica Vladimiri might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oso Prato. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Costica Vladimiri ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute, Romania's Sanda Cutov ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Oso Prato. Oso Prato yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. In the 54th minute Romania were awarded a corner. Adam Olaru went to the cornerflag to take it. Romania's Anton Stinga was substituted for Adam Olaru. Romania's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sanda Cutov in the 57th minute. Oso Prato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costica Vladimiri in the 63rd minute of the match. Romania made a substitution. Alexandru Pangratiu replaced Alex Serban. Romania's Octavian Vaduva was substituted for Costica Vladimiri. ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ made a substitution. Milan Itzov replaced Gust Mathijs. Romania's Rasvan Cristescu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Oso Prato in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Efrain Incendio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carol Stinga having to make a save. 77 minutes into the match, ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Stinga came free, but Oso Prato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sanda Cutov made a great header on Romania's corner, it was just that ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's Oso Prato managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandru Pangratiu in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oso Prato saved ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ from getting behind. Carol Stinga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efrain Incendio in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Anton Stinga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Oso Prato was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anton Stinga might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oso Prato. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anton Stinga ran back to his position shaking his head.
