Samurai Champions FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. Márcio de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 40th minute of play. In the 46th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Samurai Champions FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Egbert Nijveldt drilling the ball in to score 1-1 behind Samurai Champions FC's goalkeeper.

In the 52nd minute, Reynaldo Froila left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Samurai Champions FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After a rather tough play, Samurai Champions FC's Dominique Dahlstrom got a free kick in the 55th minute. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 55th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Márcio de Brito but with some difficulty. In the 57th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio de Brito having to interfere. After 66 minutes of play, Samurai Champions FC's Acácio Tavares made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rd minute of the match Șerban Bărbânță sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnout Reekers skillfully saved the ball. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Froila in the 95th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Samurai Champions FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Netherlands for much of the match.
