Frank Sachs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nilson do Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Malte Schiele hit a great ball. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Nilson do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute Luiz Guilherme Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Germany's Sven Krakouer got a free kick in the 17th minute. After having played for 19 minutes, Natã dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bandelocos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natã dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Germany booed when Bandelocos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natã dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Sobis, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Rafael Sobis sped through Germany's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. In the 28th minute, Henry Tormes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goal looked a bit too open when Albin Holweck came free, but Nilson do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Sachs who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Nilson do Vale when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nilson do Vale was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Frank Sachs showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 38 minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Luiz Guilherme Varela had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Guilherme Varela was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Malte Schiele hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Rafael Sobis made the kick off in the second half. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natã dos Santos in the 68th minute of the match. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Germany's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rafael Sobis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Tommy Kahn skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 92nd minute, Rafael Sobis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. In the 95th minute, Rafael Sobis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 97 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Nilson do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bandelocos had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
