Liam Bray scored 1-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 32 minutes into the match, Fluminense DF's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Patrick Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrick Neto. Fluminense DF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wim Wilmes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Gijsbert ter Kruimer scored 1-3 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patrick Neto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fluminense DF's Décio Cunha was substituted for Marcelo Real. Fluminense DF made a substitution. Rei Pelé replaced Liam Bray.
