In the 7th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Cvitanović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute Eugeniusz Kolbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugeniusz Kolbert. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eugeniusz Kolbert in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Eugeniusz Kolbert reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tommy Kahn. The goal made the score 1-0. After having played for 19 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugeniusz Kolbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albin Holweck struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Emil Cvitanović didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. In the 32nd minute, Dariusz Gacek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the game, Frank Sachs cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Emil Cvitanović was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugeniusz Kolbert in the 44th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germany's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Eugeniusz Kolbert scored to the left of an out of position Tommy Kahn, making the score, 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugeniusz Kolbert to make the kick off. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Emil Cvitanović didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. After having played for 63 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Emil Cvitanović was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Frank Sachs showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 66 minute of play. Frank Sachs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 71 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Chris Mergenthaler. MKS Maczka's Zula Drozdowski was substituted for Wincenty Sakowicz. MKS Maczka's Pankracy Gaszynski was substituted for Igor Fleischer. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugeniusz Kolbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugeniusz Kolbert in the 85th minute of the match. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugeniusz Kolbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Cvitanović having to interfere. If Eugeniusz Kolbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
