Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nicolas Roland got the match started through his kick off. Vélez Juniors's Benigno Gurutz quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fabricio Andrade, made in the 6th minute of the game. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicolas Roland went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Elpidio Vitin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 10th minute of play. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Roland in the 14th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Benigno Gurutz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Elpidio Vitin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Barreto got free with Elpidio Vitin in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Portugal were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Vélez Juniors's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Felipe Barreto took the corner. In the 34th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Moreira to maneuver through the defense. In the 40thth minute of the game Nicolas Roland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 46th minute Nicolas Roland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viriato Moura to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Elpidio Vitin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Portugal's Felipe Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Guido Luzaide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 62nd minute of play forced Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Elpidio Vitin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vélez Juniors's Cristian Naike was substituted for Nicolas Roland. Vélez Juniors's Benicio Rivas was substituted for Benigno Gurutz. In the 67th match minute, Vélez Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Joey to maneuver through the defense. Felipinho Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elpidio Vitin having to make a save. In the 75th minute Felipinho Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Vitin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Naike got free with Wilson Amorim in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 78 minutes into the game, Cristian Naike cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 84 minutes into the game, Caetano Moreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Elpidio Vitin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Elpidio Vitin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute Felipinho Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Vitin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Naike sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Elpidio Vitin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipinho Amorim in the 92nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Bartolomeu Dias put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Elpidio Vitin. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
