Ter Stegen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zaccheo Andolina's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. The supporters of 1948 MKS booed when Italy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siricio Liotta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ter Stegen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, 1948 MKS's Flavio Vittori threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aban McBjarton, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 10th minute, Zaccheo Andolina made a precise shot to the right of Ter Stegen. 1948 MKS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Flavio Vittori made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Torrey Molloy sent off a good shot on target. In the 16th minute of the match 1948 MKS got a corner. Italy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ersin Uyguralp ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Ersin Uyguralp got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Flavio Vittori quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 1948 MKS's Ter Stegen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 18th minute of play. Ter Stegen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute, 1948 MKS's Beagan Colwell ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Flavio Vittori. Flavio Vittori yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After some careless play in the 1948 MKS defense, Zaccheo Andolina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ter Stegen. The 1948 MKS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ter Stegen should have stopped the shot. Aban McBjarton scored 2-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flavio Vittori, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 1948 MKS's Ter Stegen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 40th minute of play.

Aban McBjarton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Vittori having to interfere. With a little luck, 1948 MKS's Ter Stegen got control of the ball when Sigfrido Auletta tried to sneak it across the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Ersin Uyguralp in the 56th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aban McBjarton, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 63 minutes, Ersin Uyguralp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 1948 MKS and the Italy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ersin Uyguralp hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Ter Stegen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sostene Vitulli in the 71st minute. The excitement rose when 1948 MKS's Ersin Uyguralp after 78 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Italy's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 3-2. After a defensive mix-up in 1948 MKS's zone, Porziano Marchitelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ter Stegen came out of the goal and Porziano Marchitelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. Italy's Adriano Curto was substituted for Zaccheo Andolina. Guiscardo Davide received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Ter Stegen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
