In the 7th match minute, Norrlands Athen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zhou Xun Ting to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Norrlands Athen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sigfrido Auletta was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. Italy's Zaccheo Andolina was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Manfred Fribäck in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 10 minutes into the game, Jacinto da Silveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Norrlands Athen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Italy the free kick. In the 10th minute, Jacinto da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Porziano Marchitelli struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Manfred Fribäck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. Manfred Fribäck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tord Lundin hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Manfred Fribäck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 30th minute of play. Andrew Tate could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. A collision led to Norrlands Athen getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Qian Zhen Sheng hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Måns Sandberg in the 35th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 minutes of play Norrlands Athen's Jacinto da Silveira was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Norrlands Athen getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Jacinto da Silveira hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Manfred Fribäck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Sigfrido Auletta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute Italy were awarded a corner. Sigfrido Auletta went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Sigfrido Auletta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Norrlands Athen's Manfred Fribäck did a great save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Zaccheo Andolina made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Norrlands Athen's Manfred Fribäck got control of the ball when Zaccheo Andolina tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 55th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfred Fribäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manfred Fribäck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Sigfrido Auletta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Norrlands Athen's Manfred Fribäck got control of the ball when Sigfrido Auletta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Norrlands Athen's Manfred Fribäck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Norrlands Athen from getting a goal against them. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. Manfred Fribäck made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Adriano Curto sent off a good shot on target. Flavio Vittori didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilbert Hermansson went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Italy's Eliseo Cutri managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Andrew Tate in the 95 minute of the game. The Norrlands Athen support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
