The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Daniel De Fremeaux got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 8 minutes of play, Osfinch FC's Dušan Tadić made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 11th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Cullen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Frank Sachs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stefan Cullen having to make a save. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Don Longden in the 20th minute of the match. Janik Vogt kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 42nd match minute, Osfinch FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernani Chaves to maneuver through the defense. Osfinch FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carl Walmsley in the 48th minute. A nice corner shot did that Carl Walmsley got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tommy Kahn quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

When Chris Mergenthaler fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Chris Mergenthaler a yellow card for diving instead. Osfinch FC made a substitution. Stew Brownlow replaced Dušan Tadić. In the 54th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Mergenthaler to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel De Fremeaux went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Osfinch FC's Daniel De Fremeaux slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommy Kahn. That made the score 1-3 after 74 minutes of play. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 88th minute, Malte Schiele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel De Fremeaux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osfinch FC played a much better game than Germany and deserved their victory. The Germany players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
