Niculae Ailenei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 44th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niculae Ailenei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Peter Bagge in the 45th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Navarro in the 55th minute of play. With a little luck, Chevaliers FC's Niculae Ailenei got control of the ball when Zaccheo Andolina tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chevaliers FC's Niculae Ailenei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Chevaliers FC from getting a goal against them. In the 91st minute of the match Italy got a corner. Chevaliers FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Siricio Liotta ran over to the corner to take the kick. Adriano Curto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Niculae Ailenei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The throw-in from Peter Bagge in the 95th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Niculae Ailenei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guiscardo Davide in the 96th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Chevalier came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Italy's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
