In the 11th match minute, Santos de Buenos Aires FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albino Canor to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boros Benedek to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goalkeeper Benjamin Malvin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Major Barna. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Santos de Buenos Aires FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. The audience was convinced that Major Barna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Malvin was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. 19 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Dionisio Galo came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 played minutes Santos de Buenos Aires FC got a freekick which was hit by Hilario Fix. The supporters of Santos de Buenos Aires FC booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hegedus Henrik didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 41 played minutes Santos de Buenos Aires FC got a freekick which was hit by Matias Remir. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albino Canor, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Benjamin Malvin made a huge save. In the 47th minute, Hungary's Antal Valentin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benjamin Malvin. Benjamin Malvin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When Takacs Tibor fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hungary's protests and gave Takacs Tibor a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Santos de Buenos Aires FC booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Takacs Tibor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Albino Canor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fodor Daniel was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 57th match minute, Santos de Buenos Aires FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Remir to maneuver through the defense. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Bruno Cambiasso was substituted for Dionisio Galo. In the 58th match minute, Santos de Buenos Aires FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Remir to maneuver through the defense. Antal Valentin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benjamin Malvin. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Benjamin Malvin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 69th minute of play. Fodor Daniel was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Bruno Cambiasso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bruno Cambiasso really showed his touch with that goal: 4-3. Benjamin Malvin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 96th minute of the match Santos de Buenos Aires FC got a corner. Hungary's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Matias Remir ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Matias Remir to fire away a dangerous shot which Fodor Daniel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hungary fully deserved thier win.
