Zhu Bin Kun's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zhu Bin Kun helped the player get up and apologised. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Enzo Bermudo might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnout Reekers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enzo Bermudo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 12th minute, Zhu Bin Kun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Mandiyu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17th match minute, Deportivo Mandiyu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Bermudo to maneuver through the defense. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Groeneveldt couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute, Alejo Bermudo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mandiyu's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Eulalio Bastian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eulalio Bastian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 32nd minute of play forced Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Eulalio Bastian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Jonas Andrae hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eulalio Bastian didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eulalio Bastian was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. During the 47th minute of the match Zhu Bin Kun completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Zhu Bin Kun a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The Deportivo Mandiyu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Enzo Bermudo was the one to do the kick off. In the 56thth minute of the game Lars Meesters who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Mandiyu's Eulalio Bastian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Lars Meesters lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated Eulalio Bastian. If Enzo Bermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Wim Wilmes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eulalio Bastian was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Gustaaf Groeneveldt struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Eulalio Bastian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Eulalio Bastian threw himself towards the right post 76 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gust Ennemans kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Eulalio Bastian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Eulalio Bastian made a huge save. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Eulalio Bastian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Eulalio Bastian made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
