Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herberto Caiado, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Francisco Infante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 44th minute of the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored 1-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Infante, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Francisco Infante made a huge save. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 58th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Netherlands's Egbert Nijveldt to fire away a dangerous shot which Francisco Infante despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Francisco Infante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 83rd minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Francisco Infante quite easily take care of the ball. Francisco Infante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Lima Team's Francisco Infante managed to reach the ball for a save.
