GOLD ARMY 1923
Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ingvar Vallin started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute of the game Bakos Endre made a throw-in which Balazs Lajos played forward. Major Barna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Schmeichel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Hungary's Antal Valentin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Peter Schmeichel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Major Barna in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Schmeichel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 11 minutes Hungary's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joaquin Ledesma who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Gold Army 1923's Marijus Abakas getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hungary's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joaquin Ledesma was slow to take the kick. During this time Gold Army 1923's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Joaquin Ledesma got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fodor Daniel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gold Army 1923's goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 24th minute Takacs Tibor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Schmeichel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antal Valentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Schmeichel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Peter Schmeichel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antal Valentin's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Bakos Endre made in the 37th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Balazs Lajos immediately put the ball in play. Peter Schmeichel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Vallin in the 40th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Vallin came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antal Valentin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Peter Schmeichel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Ingvar Vallin put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fodor Daniel. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Peter Schmeichel in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Vallin came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antal Valentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Schmeichel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Vallin in the 64th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute Gold Army 1923 were awarded a corner. Joaquin Ledesma went to the cornerflag to take it. Antal Valentin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antal Valentin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Peter Schmeichel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Vallin in the 88th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Major Barna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hegedus Henrik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Gold Army 1923 were victorious despite being under pressure from Hungary for much of the match.
