In the 30th minute, Salvador Romelio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. András Tóth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 34th minute of play. Arturo Christobal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Arnout Reekers when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 44 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arturo Christobal to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, András Tóth successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's Fulgencio Itzaina was substituted for Benedicto Cefero. Wim Wilmes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Christobal in the 74th minute of play. Egbert Nijveldt kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Dionisio Hug took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arnout Reekers.
