After 5 minutes, Claes Anundsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tacheros de Buenos Aires and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gregorio Lehior made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Bakos Endre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ali Haydar Tolgunay struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Fodor Daniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tacheros de Buenos Aires. 13 minutes into the game, Balazs Lajos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gregorio Lehior was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gregorio Lehior took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Balazs Lajos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hegedus Henrik in the 24th minute of play forced Tacheros de Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Gregorio Lehior to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gregorio Lehior made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Takacs Tibor in the 26th minute of play. Fodor Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vilius Gudavičius in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Alejandro Nicholas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fodor Daniel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Mattin Solbeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Mattin Solbeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tacheros de Buenos Aires's supporters rose to their feet, but Mattin Solbeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fodor Daniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 51st play minute Antal Valentin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gregorio Lehior. 1-2. Jan-Ove Tunander kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Gregorio Lehior didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antal Valentin went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. After 62 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Major Barna. 64 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Vilius Gudavičius came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Guilabertus was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Gregorio Lehior proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Tacheros de Buenos Aires from getting a goal against them. Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Gregorio Lehior made a huge save. Balazs Lajos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Gregorio Lehior tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Gregorio Lehior got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Vilius Gudavičius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Gregorio Lehior made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Balazs Lajos got free with Gregorio Lehior in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 89th minute, Vilius Gudavičius left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tacheros de Buenos Aires fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. 92 minutes into the match, Hungary's Balazs Lajos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gregorio Lehior narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tacheros de Buenos Aires's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. Vörös Henrik made a great header on Hungary's corner, it was just that Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Gregorio Lehior managed to reach the ball for a save. 94 minutes into the match, Vörös Henrik had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gregorio Lehior. Tacheros de Buenos Aires's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vörös Henrik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4.
