With an all-out effort, Maritza's Casper Claes threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zeng Jing Yue, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 4 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Zeng Jing Yue came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miladin Bikarski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the game, Edward Vanderstraeten cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Danail Mitzakov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Belgium's Casper Claes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Belgium from getting a goal against them. Feliks Chwalkiewicz hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Belgium were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Maritza's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edward Vanderstraeten took the corner. Simon Sabbe made a great header on Belgium's corner, it was just that Maritza's Danail Mitzakov managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 21st minute of play forced Maritza's goalkeeper Danail Mitzakov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danail Mitzakov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 23rd minute of the match. When Zeng Jing Yue came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Maritza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zeng Jing Yue couldn't finish the play. 29 minutes into the match, Maritza's goal looked a bit too open when Yves Dervaux came free, but Danail Mitzakov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nigel Devos hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Zygmunt Nakoneczny, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Maritza's Danail Mitzakov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Belgium booed when Maritza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliks Chwalkiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 39th minute of play forced Maritza's goalkeeper Danail Mitzakov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nencho Markovski in the 40th minute of the match. After 41 minutes of play, Belgium's Yves Dervaux made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danail Mitzakov was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 45th minute, Laurens Vandamme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sander Dermaut hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half Belgium were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Edward Vanderstraeten made the kick off in the second half. Maritza's Danail Mitzakov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Maritza from getting a goal against them. In the 54th match minute, Maritza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nencho Markovski to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeng Jing Yue in the 59th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Danail Mitzakov made a huge save. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeng Jing Yue, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zeng Jing Yue in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Claes saved Belgium from getting behind. After some careless play in the Maritza defense, Yves Dervaux kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Danail Mitzakov. The Maritza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danail Mitzakov should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Sander Dermaut got a free kick in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Maritza's goalkeeper Danail Mitzakov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. If Miladin Bikarski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zoltán Hubina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Casper Claes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danail Mitzakov made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute Belgium were awarded a corner. Edward Vanderstraeten went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Belgium's corner Siebe Michiels fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Danail Mitzakov quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the Maritza defense, Yves Dervaux kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Danail Mitzakov. The Maritza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danail Mitzakov should have stopped the shot. When Miladin Bikarski came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Maritza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miladin Bikarski couldn't finish the play. In the 94thth minute of the game Zeng Jing Yue who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Belgium's Casper Claes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 95th minute Zeng Jing Yue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
